Insider Tip - Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil is the ultimate multi use product that everyone should have in their bathroom. I use it on my face, body, hair, and scalp. The oil leaves your skin feeling silky smooth without feeling excessively oily. It leaves your hair soft and scalp moisturized. Jojoba oil is chemically similar to human sebum (the oil secreted by our sebaceous glands) therefore people with oily skin can even benefit from using it. The jojoba oil in fact regulates the production of sebum which in effect controls breakouts as it moisturizes. Jojoba is great for people with excema and extremely dry skin.

  • Apply jojoba oil to hair and scalp. Heat the jojoba oil in a cup full of hot water (similar to hot oil treatments) and then apply to hair. The results will be extra soft and manageable hair.

  • Use jojoba oil as make up remover. It is gentle on the skin and helps remove excess makeup.

  • Mix jojoba in with your favorite moisturizer for an extra kick of moisture on your face or body.

I have been using Jojoba oil and it truly does work. If you are looking for that silky soft skin this will definitely do the trick. I also experienced excema for the first time over the past few months and it has helped the dry patches a lot. Doctors can only give you so many ointments (which over time are not so great for you in high doses. Jojoba oil is a great natural aid in adding moisture to those dry patches!
