Scarlett Johansson's New Bob

Scarlett Johansson is sporting a new look these days. For her the Fall 09/ Winter 10 ad campaign for Mango Scarlett Jo now has a shaggy bob. I think the new style suit her and the brand which promotes the sexy, independent, urban gal.

It suits Scarlett because she has the perfect face shape for it. Someone with a rounder face should stay away from any cut close that close to the jawline.

Academy Awards 2008 - Cascading Curls

Many of the stars on the red carpet at this years Academy Awards 2008 had side swept hair. Marion Cotillard and Amy Adams had very similar hair styles, both swept to the right side of their face with loose curls cascading down the side. The look is extremely feminine and fitting for the award show.

Newlywed Katherine Heigl appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show today to promote her movie 27 Dresses.

Her hair is reminicent of 1940's screen goddess. She looks like a blonde Rita Hayworth (shown below) with her loose curls parted to the side. Her hair is elegant and still modern. Her makeup is natural and light, which seems to suit her best. She looks like she's wearing red lip tint on her lips. SAG Awards 2008 - Best Of Hair And Makeup

Since the Golden Globes were cancelled this year, celebrities pulled out all the stops for the Screen Actor's Guild Awards. There was lots of glitz and glamour, perhaps because they knew we'd all be watching. Needless to say I wasn't disappointed. Below are a few of my favorite looks of the evening for hair and makeup.

Marion Cotillard looked absolutely stunning on the red carpet. Her makeup is flawless. She has a silver shadow that lightly touches her inner eye as well as light pink lips. If you look closely you can see glitter on the top of her head. I believe that it is subtle enough to bring together her whole look.

Cate Blanchett is pregnant and glowing. She is always one of my favorites on the red carpet. Her skin is luminous, she has slightly flushed cheeks, and some pink gloss on her lips. Her hair is also simple and sophisticated, which perfectly compliments her natural makeup.

Another one of my favorites, America Ferrera shined on the red carpet. I think this is one of her best looks to date. Her side chignon complements the romantic feel of her dress. Her makeup is very age appropriate with some liner on the eyes and rose colored lips.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler decided to take a minimalist approach to all the glitz we saw at the SAG Awards and I believe it worked in her favor. Although I'm not a fan of her up do (which at first glance appears to be a pixie cut) her makeup is subtle and natural. She has nude lips and silver eye makeup.

Marcia Cross always is put together at any award show. Her hair looks fabulous as usual. The long layers are slightly wavy and the earthy red hue creates an interesting contrast to her teal dress.

The other famous housewife Eva Longoria opted for pure glamour this SAG Awards and I really think it accentuated her style. Some people might think that she went over the top but I think that her dramatic eyes really complement her pinup girl hair and glamorous dress. It's an award show. Whereas can you really emphasize the glamour?

Brittany Snow's blue eyes are striking because of her long dark lashes. She chose a beige gold-flecked lip gloss that goes very well with her skin-tone. I really loved the waves in her blonde hair. Her whole look was fresh and young.

It really seems that Angelina Jolie can do no wrong when it comes to looking beautiful. Since she has such striking features she doesn't need to do anything dramatic to emphasize them further. In fact I think more makeup would look harsh on her and only be to her detriment. She has perfected the look of the cat eye and lightly glossed her lips.
