Bold Brows - Be Gentle With Your Tweezers

Vogue's Culture Editor, Valerie Steiker writes in the January issue about this season's newest accessory, bold eyebrows. In her witty fashion, she describes her lifelong love-hate relationship with her brows. She remembers one visit to an L.A. hairstylist when the stylist paused to tell her that she had "eccentric eyebrows."

If you feel comfortable sporting them, thick natural brows convey strength, not to mention you avoid the shocked look you get from over tweezing. Less defined brows can be distinctive. It shows that you are comfortable with your natural appearance, who you really are, and that you need little upkeep to be beautiful. If you feel less comfortable with a natural brow, seeing as many women prefer thin, arched brows, you can follow your natural line and clean up the excess hairs without overdoing it. As I suggested in a previous post, make an appointment with Robin Evans. She will make your eyebrows look natural and beautiful.

Hilary Rhoda is a supermodel known for her distinguished features and strong brow. She is often referred to as All-American and compared to other natural brow celebrities such as Brooke Shields. Hilary's look is very distinctive, and as you can see she has beautiful, thick eyebrows. Her brows bring attention to her blue eyes and you cannot help but notice her. She is the newest face of Estee Lauder and also the #12 spot in Forbes list of the 15 Top-earning supermodels. She proves that you don't need a pencil-thin arch in order to look chic and be successful in the beauty world.
